At the main forum of the seminar on the development review and outlook of the photovoltaic industry in the first half of 2023, Xing Yiteng, Director of the New Energy Department of the New Energy and Renewable Energy Department of the National Energy Administration, pointed out that the global leading position of the photovoltaic industry should be consolidated, and the construction of large-scale wind power photovoltaic bases should be taken advantage of to actively promote the scale application of advanced photovoltaic technology. Wang Bohua, honorary chairman of China Photovoltaic Industry Association, said that the forecast of new PV installed capacity in China in 2023 was raised from 95-120 GW to 120-140 GW. At the same time, the association has also raised its forecast for new global photovoltaic installations in 2023 from 280 to 330 gigawatts to 305 to 350 gigawatts.
China is the world's largest production base for photovoltaic modules, and extruded aluminum is the most competitive material for manufacturing solar photovoltaic modules. The battery panel frame pillars, support rods, and pull rods can all be made of aluminum alloy, with an aluminum frame utilization rate of up to 95%. The future demand for aluminum in the photovoltaic industry has a very broad prospect.
